Attendees: Doug Lohmeier, John Ranz, Bill Puthoff, Chief Cruse, Chief Korte, Jack Cameron
I. Police
Mr. Ranz brought up that during his campaigning several residents have inquired about putting back up the reminder signs for Complete Stop/Rolling Stop stating the fines. Further discussion was on using the speed wagon and Chief Korte informed us many residents complain of visual obstruction with the unit. He mentioned it is also old technology and suggested newer small speed monitoring devices. The committee suggested he add that to his budgetary requests for 2012.
II. Fire
• Update on the Hiring Process
o Written test will be administered November 12 & the Physical test is tentatively schedule for December 3, 2011
o Currently there are 30 applications in hand but they feel more will be received by Nov. 12.
III. Other items
• Mr. Cameron reviewed the new Duke Retail endorsement for electric for the Village and the committee supports that proposal. Mr. Cameron also stated that Duke will contact all residents that have sent in their renewal cards that have incorrect rates so they can make a decision on the new rate.
• Committee also inquired when we would see the new proposed budget books for 2012. Mr. Cameron did not know when they were coming out.
